Questions to ask before you hire an attorney

Before you hire an attorney, ask:

• how many cases the attorney handles at any given time;
• what percentage of the attorney’s cases are brought into suit as opposed to being settled before suit is even filed;
• how many cases the attorney has actually tried before a jury;
• if the attorney/law firm will actually handle your case or refer the case out to another attorney/law firm; and
• if the attorney will give you his home and cellular telephone numbers for contact purposes.
